Close enough to town for coffee and dinner. Private enough that you won't want to leave.

About the hosts
We looked at more than twenty houses out here before this one. None of them were the Joshua Tree we had in our heads.
We wanted a place we could bring friends and family to, where the drive out ends and everything gets quiet and nobody has to be anywhere. That version of the desert didn't exist yet, so we built it.
We passed on this house twice. No electricity, broken windows, no drywall. It was a shell with a roof. The third time we came back, standing in the middle of it, we finally saw it.
